After I have been driving for a bit and the truck has warmed up....once I place in park the RPMS jump up to anywhere from 1500-2500 and stays there until I turn the truck off. HOWEVER If I turn the truck off and then right back on it idles just fine. Its only when I go from Drive to Park. It seems to be getting worse too(RPMS getting higher).

I have searched and searched and I can not find a vaccuum leak.

I cleaned the IAC and that did nothing.

What else can I try or check? Thanks

try resetting the computer/clean the maf and check your tps

I have reset the pcm and cleaned the maf as well. guess ill check the tps...........thanks

Another vote for bad TPS. Mine went and my engine would idle at 2000 rpms whenever in neutral. I have a 5 spd though.

Where exactly is the TPS? It sounds like this could be it. Might as well go to autozone since its only 30 bucks.

Just two screws and a electrical connection, pretty easy.
