High Idle

I actually unplugged the battery and idle returned to normal...
I didnt have a check engine light...

ECM?? issue? could anyone direct me to next steps?

Same thing happened to my 2002 exploder XLT, stop using it for about 10 days and it started idling to like 1500 rpm, just disconnected the battery, cleaned the posts and has been working fine since then, go figure!!!!!!!!!
