high revinn!,low milage!!

got a cople of questins about my 2000 sport 4x4 sohc 4.0l !!

it has 4.10 gears and revs about 3000rpm at 70 mph! is this normal?i am soon going to make my own shackels and do the tt mod to get bigger better tires on it and my real question is this?will the larger tires drop my hwy rpm and give me better milage?

by the way i would like to say this is a friggin awesome forum and i have already done one mod i learned about(cuttin the fog light relay tab so they stay on when "I" want them too)and am lookin forward to more!!

you have 4.10 gears....what do you expect? I believe stock gears are 3.73's, did you get your gears bumped up?

nope the truck came with stock 4.10's

Maybe its a canadian thing? Dont know but 4.10 gears are pretty steep. That might be your problem

no i don't think that is normal. When you are at 70, press the OD off button. if nothing happens then you aren't going into overdrive.

Mine runs about 2500 or 2600

take off the overdrive and revs to over 3600 rpm!!
will 32 or 33 inch tires drop my hwy rpms?
gonna lift it this summer
