Hissing noise after coldair intake

I'm using the KKM tru induction sytem but have another intake system MAC cold air kit..Did anyone else vhave this problem....just I though here Why could we not use dryer hose and expand it to the bottom for real cold..it worked in thew 60's-70's....don't get all crazy just wondering if someone has tried this

Hiik up an OBD II scanner and monitor IAT at speeds above 40 MPH. You will see that the IAT is very close to ambient.

so I should raise the filter right, or anm i compltely off base? great advice, thank you
