Some big ol' 80's party van hit my XLT while I was parked and instead of stopping, picked up speed when I started honking my horn!!!

Anyone recommend some good shops in the Portland, Oregon area who can replace the tail light, scratches in the bumper chrome and plastic and buff out large white and yellow paint from the body?!?

/sob (crying for my baby!)

Sorry for your situation; may the *******(s) run off a brifge.

Did you get the license plate #'s? The insurance will probally recommend a few places for you to take it to.

body shops

hey man that sucks to hear about, but I'm from P Town and I would recomend superior autobody which is in Gresham on burnside and powel, or velvet hammer, on 82nd, I've seen alot of velvets work and its really good and ussually a good price, superior is a little bit more i believe but there shop is super nice. sorry to here about that man that really sucks

Got two appraisals, one from my insurance company and one from Velvet Hammer:
$870 and $1123

Yikes

However, the guy at Kadel's said that he would replace the light assembly and have a detail shop buff/shine/rub out the nicks/dings and leave the scratch on the chrome alone...that is until they arrest the kid that hit me and I then can sue for damages....(hhrumph)

Found the light online for $28 bucks....done!

Out

That always sucks. I think I remember Oregon requiring uninsurred motorist coverage so your out of pocket expense wouldn't be that much until they caught the guy.

Good to see a couple of Oregonian's on this site. I now am stationed only a state away but haven't been home in almost a year.
