So I'm having major issues with my 97. I have a very weird rattling vibration coming from what sounds like my front driver side corner. It is something in the drive train I believe. braking or accelerating doesn't make a difference. Nore does shifting into neutral while driving. You can only notice it when you reach between fifty and seventy five. Once you reach a constant speed over sixty it goes away after a few minutes. it will remain if you stay between fifty and sixty. You can hear as well as feel it in the steering wheel, pedals, floor. well everywhere. It isn't as noticeable to any passengers though. I have been trying to diagnose it for a few months. I finally decided to replace my front driver side axle shaft, my front shocks. As well as the front sway bar links. The wheel bearings appear to be fine. None of this helped. It actually caused more problems. I had to drive it a little ways today(it's my only vehicle). I put about fifty miles on it. well apparently i'm an idiot and didn't crank on the bolts enough when i was putting it all back together. because it rattled almost all my bolts on the driver side loose. One of my caliper bolts actually rattled all the way out and was lost on the freeway. Yeah yeah I know. Anyone ever heard of such an issue with these explorers. The rattle(vibration) i'm getting. Any ideas?
