I built a mount for my hi-lift today, it will no longer be banging around in the back of my truck. It was really easy to do. i used a 15" piece of 2x4 and drilled the holes 11" apart. i then used 5" carraige bolts to hold the hi-lift in place. I also had to notch out the 2x4 to fit around a cross member behind the plastic panel. I did however have to remove my stock amp inorder to get the 2x4 in place. anyway here are the pics.

the first one is of the 2x4 i made as a backing plate.

And the finished product. all in all it cost me about 4 dollars and only took 20 minutes. :)
I cut the bolts down so they dont stick out as far and i also wrapped weatherstripping around the handle and covered it with duct tape to keep it all from rattling.

Looks good man, simple, but effective! I made my own mount too, drill one hole in each of my luggage racks and ran bolts down through the Hi Lft holes through the rack. Home made stuff is so much easier to work with :D

Oh sweet! And it's within easy reach so i can club you over the head with it!!!! ;)
