Hood pain pealing

My 99 ford explorer is pealing to the metal dealer says its been in accident and its not covered under warenty! How is a way to tell if its origanal paint or not? There is no primer or filler under where the paint is pealing B.T.W.

Check the wire harnesses for the headlights and the hood plungers. If they're painted (the same color as your X) then.. you guessed it.

Those things are put in after the truck is painted from the factory. So the only way for them to have paint on them is if it was repainted (and most of the time people dont tear down too far to paint).
