**Hood scoop finally installed!**

Thumbs up! I have been wanting to get one of these and just have the scoop painted. Didnt like the idea of only have it attatched by tape. Can you show the underside of your hood to see how it was bolted on?

Thanks-Great Job!! I have the slowski 4.0 OHV V6 so no reason to cut a hole in the hood for me either. Strictly Looks.

The underside of the hood has the black fabric cover on it. I assume the body shop just measured it out, drilled the holes and used the mounting bolts that were already on the scoop from when it was mounted on the Mustang.

Wouldn't it entail just cutting a hole in the hood? It wouldn't make for a ram air setup, but it would still help keep the engine cool. And as long as you keep the grill on, the only thing that should get in would be small stuff, and rain.

Well he obviously doesnt wanna cut his hood! Plus....I wouldnt want rain having an open path to my engine, wether it was a lot, or a little.

Looks very nice. I still have a shaker waiting to be fitted to mine at some stage - if i do it, it will feed into the airbox.

Yeah, I can tell, lol.

With the amount of rain that you would get through it, would it really affect the engine? I mean, the engine's pretty much an enclosed unit, and don't you get water and stuff in it when you drive through puddles?

DEFINITELY cannot wait to see this! :D

I should have been more specific, as in not really the fact that I think it would mess anything up, just it would probably get 10x dirtier than it has to be down there:( lol..

I cant wait to see that shaker hood either though :D:thumbsup:

looks awesome ur tailights look sick i remember ghoster did that to his x whatever happend to him. I remember he was sellin his eddie baurer

Yeah...I rememeber him having them. In fact he had told me a few times that he would sell them to me. I sent him quite a few messages asking about the price and never heard from him. So I dunno what happened...I just decided to get my own.

Holy cow!!! LOOKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I wasn't around, had a busy night last night and today I went to Rochester, MO and canoed down the Missouri River:D Just got back and I am whipped.

It really looks good and I love the blue! Now you need to either do a street stance with some 20's or lift it with some 18's:D(what are the future plans?) Congrats again!!!

Not sure....if I do anything with the stance I'm gonna get some Ground Force springs and lower it a bit. If I do that I'm gonna wait tillI have to replace the struts so I knock 2 birds out with 1 stone. Probably gonna leave the factory rims on it....trying to stay with all Ford stuff....maybe a set of 17 inch Cobra wheels.

Ford makes some nice factory 20's available on the Adrenalin and new Explorers. Which cobras do you have in mind? I would get 18's at a minimum for street looks. But if you need pics of 20's to convince you, I will post one up of mine;)

Those adrenaline rims are some sick rims

Cool...I might have to check into those. Whatever I do I'm gonna wait till my current tires wear out and then decide what to do. I wanna find something I can leave on year around and still tow my boat. I've read that some rims have certain weight ratings and don't want any to fail when towing.

Looks great, How far in from the hood indentation is it mounted. I'm talking about the dip the hood takes right before it reaches the windshield wiper cowl. It looks like about 2 inches. I'm asking because I have one to install after I paint it and I like the placement on yours. Thanks, Mike

The body shop guy said he put it as far back as he could with the washer nozzles being where they are. Maybe an inch or two in front of the washer nozzles.

OK i get it, you probably have a different hood than me. On my 01 Sport the hood actually dips back down before it gets to the washer nozzles(cowl). I have billet grills on mine, both main and bumper, so I ordered the billet grill for the hood scoop, it will have to be modified, but I'll get at least 3 or 4 bars. I'll post pics when I'm done*(2 weeks ish). Just a little food for thought if you were thinking about getting any grills. Thx Just noticed, my washer nozzles are incorporatrd in my cowl, yours are mounted on the hood portion

the stickers so make it !!!!!

great job !!!!

Looks great! I agree that the decals definatly make it that much better. I think if you were to add the wheels from the 2010 xlt sport it would look sick as hell.

Alright, had a bright idea last night, one that I'm sure a bunch of you had already figured out, but oh well. One of the problems with a ram air system is rain and junk getting to the air filter, right? Torrential downpour, and in some cases you might as well be driving through 6' of water, you'll probably get the same results. However, if you have an aftermarket cone filter, like a K&N, simply fitting a drycharger SHOULD take care of that rain problem....

Am I correct, or am I just thinking up weird ideas while bored at work?
