Well I ordered the Air/Fuel Ratio gauge for my 1993 Explorer Sport.

My only problem is that I don't know the correct color wire to hook it up too..

If anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1991-1994 and could look up the color for the O2 sensor wire, it would be great!

Thanks!

If you call Autometer they'll be able to tell you the correct wires for almost any vehicle.

Hmm, why would you want a Air/Fuel ratio gauge on a fuel injected car? you might see it run a little rich ( like 10:1 during carnking or warm up on a cold morning ) but other than that if you motor is running right it will try to keep you running at 14.7:1 depending on how much alcholol they add to the fuel in your area. From what I understand the fuel system will compesate withing 1-3 milliseconds of any deviation from 14.7:1.

The A/F gauge is useful in my truck to keep tabs of fuel usage under various loads, vaccuum, and boost levels. Basically when I floor it I make sure it pegs to rich, and when I coast I make sure it pegs to lean for economy.

It is just a nice accessory to have.

A friend has it on his V6 4.0L and it moves when he floors it, etc.

I'm not asking you to get one, I was just asking for some help on it.

sorry about that, not trying to rag on you at all, just learning lots of stuff from this book calles "How to understand , Service, and Mosify Ford Fuel Injection and electroic control" really really good book, one of the only books that I saw, skimmed it and said " I hAVE to have this book!" really good, well detailed and coveres everything from what emission are, what the computer does during diffrent operating procedures, really good, next time anyone it down at books a million or sillialr stoke, look it up, glance at it and I garentee you will learn something you didnt know before. Its written by a guy that writes books for technitions and he talked with lots of engineers while writting the book. The best part is that is decribes the WHY of everything. check it out.
