Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the Ranger section. Go back, and adjust the brake. It sounds like it's too tight.

I had the same problem when I did my back brakes, and after making sure that the tensioners were all the way backed off, it turned out that the drums needed to be turned. End of problem.
