Hotwire my 96 ford explorer

Long story really. Shortening it up go something like this. Steering wheel locked ignition locked. Been starting with the screwdriver for two weeks. Tumblr wore out from screwdriver which led to Broken lower actuator. Need to get my truck started just to get it home. I tried to jump solenoid on fender wall it would not take try to hotwire yellow wire to red and blue wire it clicks fuel pump comes on but does not turn over please help ASAP. I would tow it then fix the problem as you should have initially. It seems like a bad trend to publish info on how to hotwire vehicles and I hope that if anyone knows, that they message you directly instead of posting it in public.

It's definitely possible by looking up remote start wiring diagrams. It'd be easier to get a junkyard column and swap it in.

get under the dash and remove the ignition switch. I had to do this to my 96 when the ignition switch broke in the OFF position.
There were pics in my thread but Photobucket cut all hosted pics and I deleted the pics and closed my account.

Here's the basics:

First remove the lower trim panel and metal cover to
access the ignition switch and remove the 2 T40 Torx screws
to drop ignition switch away

This will expose the steering lock rod slide slot.
A greenish slide with a hole in it.
Use a tool in the hole to slide it down to the line in the aluminum housing.
This is in the RUN position

If you have a remote start option and access to some tools. You can unlock the steering with the slide and you can manually move the ignition switch to the RUN position and drive the vehicle.

Im so sorry jc that I went on leave for not six,but seven n a half month's, without checking in.my oh my where are my manners, silly me for serving active duty and not serving ur ego maniac needs. Furthermore u didnt make an effort replying anything ,oh did u mean the crap u gave me for Me posting publicly how to jump the silinoid ON MY truck that I OWN.I WASNT TRYIN TO GIVE TIPS ON HOTWIRING,NEVER WOULD I. MAYBE IM A LITTLE NIEVE AND DONT AUTOMATICLY THINK THE WORST ,IM NOT WIRED THAT WAY PERHAPS. SO KIDS,IF UR reading and WATCHING,HOTWIRING IS BAD! BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!not only is it against the law but u will also burst into flames !!!and some even say that ull be damned into auto hell for all eternity.!!!can u imagine.....hotwiring in hell.....dont sound like much fun now does is it. Then we didn't hear from you for 6 months. Considering that you were probably going to have to be taxied back and forth for tools and wouldn't be able to get around to this for another 6 months, then I stand by my original recommendation that you should have had it towed rather than abandoned wherever it was for half a year.

Something seems fishy. We STILL don't know if you got it running, for all we know you stole the vehicle 6 mos. ago and have been incarcerated since then because you couldn't get it started to make a getaway.
