I have a 1998 Explorer Sport. I would like to get some new speakers for the front and back. How do these look? Anyone use these?

They will be better than stock, but don't expect a drastic change in sound quality though. You get what you pay for. I would say instead of spending 120 on two sets of those and possibly not being satisfied and going out and buying something else, just go ahead and if you can afford it, purchase a pair of nicer 6x8's for around 100 dollars a pair. Regardless of brand, because when you speak of brands, people like to let you know if it is good or bad, you get what you pay for.

I was thinking of getting these as well...Goto your local Circuit City they have them their and sound alot better than the 100$ kicker speakers they have

I used those exact speakers for about a year and a half. It was surprising how good they sounded. For the price you can't beat them. Much better than lightening audio, audiobahn and all the other low end junk.

I have these in my back doors and I have the 3 ways in the front. For not much more the 3 ways sound alot better and one of the 2 ways died after about a year. I'm only running them off the HU.

The three ways probobly sounded better because of the way the factory system is equalized. There is very little if any difference in sound from the two way to the three way. If one of the two ways died it was probobly from distortion. Underpowering a speaker will always introduce distortion-resulting in a blown speaker. I assume you were running them off the factory hu.

No it's a Blaupunkt Orlando head. After about 6 month I unstalled a 400w 4ch amp on them. But that amp pretty much sucks and it's coming out. I think it was actually louder with out it.
I run the bass pretty low as I have a 1200w amp running 2 12's. So I think it might have just been a defective speaker.
