Get the four inch kit for the front. Convert the rear to Spring Over axle then even up the front by twisting your torsion bars a bit. You should net between 5 and 6 inches of suspension.

Then if you still want add the 3" body lift. The BL is a ranger kit PA-883 I believe is the part number (It's past my bedtime so if that was 853 someone correct me)

Better yet SAS it and save some cash on replaced Ball Joints, Tierods, Hub/Bearings, and CV's from running 35"+ tires :D

hey bud i got a 96 sport and i did 3" spindles, 3" TT , 6" soa, anda 3" body lift. I am running 35" pro comp xterains and 15" XD series rims.... and I must say I get the looks now... my toy is bad ass, MY favorite lifted vehicle by far... I just recently did all of this and have all the part numbers pictures and help you need assuming that your 99 is the same as my 96 sport... I wanted bigger but wiht out spending thousands of dollars this is is, trust me i did my research!!! i will post pics in my next thread for you.. like i said if we have the same car i can get you all the info you need.. by the way i paid my mechanic a local shop to do the work for me... totall i dished out a wooping 1200$ for parts and labor for all the lift (not including rims and tires)

yeah......PICS!!!

hey here are some quick pics... i know they suck it was wiht the cell phone.. i will take more in the morning and post them by the afternoon..... Side view
rims and tires like i said i will post more in a few.. let me know what you think...

You can go as big as you can afford. Scrap the stock front axle and do a solid axle swap $$$.

If you are 4x4 you will not be able to do the same lift as Skin here.

The TT shouldn't go above 2" and the spindle lift is for 2wd only........

hey I have question since I noticed you said dont go above 2" TT I adjusted mine lower for a while....and I never measured what it was at stock eight cuz I am retarded....any one have a "range" so I dont go to high...or if I do go the hole way...how bad will that be for my 99 Sport 2wd! thanks for the help!

the cv angle is supose to be like 23 degrees

Where your sport is a 2wd there is not a limit you need to be concerned with. As Explorer DMB noted the CV axles are the issue, and they bind up beyond 23 degrees. Which is right around 2-3" of TT depending on the rig as they are all a bit different.

well there is a limit to 2wd - a limit to what your kidneys can handle. It'll be a rough ride with torsion bars maxed out

4wd with 5 - 6 " of tt and no problems with binding of the cv's or noticeable excessive wear on any of the components. Running 35's for 15,000 + miles. Ideal, not quite, but still feasible if you want to save the money on an axel swap.

More power to you most 4x4 cant even dream of 5 inches of TT. As for the first post: 4 inch suspension kit in the front, then SOA in the rear maby with some stiffer springs but the appropriate size with no lift. Then TT the front to match and that is aproximatly 6 inch suspension lift. The 3 body is part #883 i belive(kit for the ranger) but you need to make or alter the bumper brakets that come with it.

Yup & I wheel the sh%t out of it, & it has around 200,000 miles on it, & one of the cv's is still stock, the other was replaced before the excessive tt :D

I posted in another thread that I will post the exact mileage when one of the cv's goes just as a little test to see how far I can go with this amount of tt before something craps out.

There are more lift options for the IFS then your local 4x4 shop is likley aware of as well.
from the solid axle conversion that many have posted about to custom long travel IFS kits that ditch the torsion bars.

Yup this is my daily driver, and I don't think the ride is bad at all, I honestly think it rides smoother on the road than my parents stock 97 xlt, I think it may have a little to do with the bigger tires but yeah no kidney damage here as others might have you believe.
