ok so i wanted to know the size of my rims so i took out the tape measure and measured the rims across and got 16 inches. everyone on here told me they should be 15x7.

first whats the 15x7 mean, what does each number mean?

you can see pictures of my truck here

They look like the stock 15x7s to me. 15" tall, 7" wide. But I don't think you can just measure them, I think the points that you measure from are inside the rim.

hmm that would explain that.....ahahaha i know nothing about tires....

those are 15" rims (i am a mechanic and an explorer buff)....... also, somewhere on the inside stamped into the rim they should say.....

Also, look on the tire for a number. The last number will say "R15" for a 15 inch rim, "R17" for a 17 inch rim, etc.

thanks guys.
looks like i might be gettin rims off a newer explorer.
