How do I get my trunk aligned???

My trunk is rearward about a good half in and I wanted to know if anyone could guide me on how to get it aligned back. The up and down alignment is great it is just not tight enough in. Please help....

You mean leveling the front and rear? Search on here for Torsion Twist. You can adjust the height of your front suspension doing that, and even make up for some left/right lean.

I think he is talking about the rear hatch, tailgate. Not the vehicle suspension.

You will have to access the hinges in the headliner I would guess. But a half inch out? Is there sign of any body damage?

Oh wow, you are better at reading those than I am.

OP, he is right, to align the tailgate, you loosen the hinges. The holes are oval shaped to allow for adjustment. Seeing that it is half an inch out, the strikers probably aren't aligned either, and once again, as Dewey said, you have cause to suspect body damage.

Yes I am referring to the hatch alignment. There is no body damage and the oval holes are actually round and allow for very very little adjustment. I am thinking the hinges were bent out of wack somehow from the previous owner. The strikers line up perfectly. I am thinking I will have to buy and install new hinges.

The little bit of adjustment you have in those holes goes a very long way.
