How do I know if these will fit or not?

Found some Probe GT wheels on Craigslist. Thought about buying them and painting them black. They are 16" x 7" Style: 5 Spoke Lugs: 5 Bolt Pattern: 4.5in Offset: 40mm. I looked through the wheel and tire threads and stickies, without much luck. What is the best way to see if they work? I have an 05 Sport Trac Adrenalin. Thanks for any help.

Measure or calculate the size and width of the stock mounted tire and the new tire package. Then you can use your tape measure to see if it fits.

There is a sticky thread on this site about how to calculate tire and wheel dimensions.

You could test fit.

Be careful, the wheel from a probe may not be strong enough for a 5,000-pound SUV.
