I have a new pioneer DEH-1200MP that I just installed in my 02 explorer and all the speakers work except the back stock subwoofer. Does any one know if there is a way that i can connect it because my stereo only came with wires for 4 speakers and im trying to make all the speakers work.
If you reread this thread you will see a small harness with RCA plugs and the blue/white amp turn-on wire, which is the harness for the stock subwoofer.
You will also want to go the voltage regulator route to stop the loud "thump" sound you will get when your new headunit turns on (the new headunit has a 12VDC amp lead, but the stock only has a 5VDC lead).
Try the search function and you will find a lot of walk-throughs for all of this. Good luck.
