Remove the inner door panel so you can see what you are doing. Drill out the 2 pop rivets under the handle. Remove the retainer clip on the end of the rod holding it to the lock mechanism. Then put the new one in reverse from how you took the old one out. You can replace the pop rivets or what I did is picked up a Threaded Insert Rivit Tool from Harbor Freight and justbolted the new one on with some locktite then if I ever have to remove it again I can. I got mine from a you pick junk yard and it allowed me the ability to see what I needed to do without destroying my own truck yet. Be sure you bring a cordless drill with an assortement of sharp bits and a set of needel nose pliers. The whole think too me about 2 hours start to finish. Good luck!
