A coke spilled while in the cup holder, so it ran all down the sides of the console and under my seats. I cant get at it to clean it all up with the carpet shampoo I have so I guess the seats have to come out. It looks like theres just 4 bolts, one on each corner to remove, is that correct and is there anything I should know about doing this? I wish I could find the moron that almost hit me and made me spill that drink, make the retard clean it up.

I think it's only those 4 bolts. But make sure all the harnesses are undone before you yank the seat out, you don't want to damage any wiring.

I dont have power seats..so there should be no wiring right?

there may be a seatbelt switch inside the mechanism... i am not sure though but just be cautious

:us:

I had a connector by my seat belts. I believe it's for the fasten seatbelt light.

You will also need a large Torx bit to remove the seat belt. I can't remember the size off the top of my head.

T40 or T50, both are routinely used.

umm.whats a Torx bit? This sounds like a big pain in the butt.... I'm thinkin theres not that much, I dont care that much..I thought this would be easy :( ... I think when I take it in for this damned idle problem I'm gonna see what they'll give me for it, then I'm gonna see how much my buddy can get me a new 5spd GT stang for...

Actually Rick i don't believe you have to remove the seat belt bolt(correct me if i'm wroing). There are 4 bolts like you said, the wiring harness that Rick was talking about and the seat belt mechanism that Jim was talking about. It's not hard, 5-10 min. job, good luck!

Happy trailes!
