How hard is it to change headlights with a brushguard?

I want to get a set or Sylvania Silverstars 9007..... but i got me a brushguard and it might be some trouble.... how do i tackle this "mini" project?? any one have a thread on how to change the bulbs?

If you have a modular guard you may be able to just take off the one side of the guard that you need to take off. If you have a one peice you have your work cut out for you, you will have to take it off.

I got me a one-piece...... Cant you get to the bulb from the back, like near the battery and airbox? Im not replacing the headlamp unit... just the bulbs.

It means the lens/housing stays in the truck.. you just pull the bulb out from the back (IE near the battery and the air box) and no you don't have to pull the battery or the airbox, you just gently get your arm in there and twist of the plastic lock nut and pull the bulb out...

And when putting the new bulb in.. DO NOT touch the glass otherwise you will blow your nice new bulb.

I know not to touch the bulb.... but why is GASOUTHRN1 saying i have to take my brushguard off?????? im confused.. i have many different people telling me different things...

Probably because he thought you were trying to change the entire unit, not just the bulb.

Ah... i gotcha.... thanks for the tips... ill buy the bulbs tom....... didnt someone say that SS will make the fog light bulbs that come out in OCT to match???? i think alec mentioned it or something

I have no real idea about that...sorry that i confused you earlier, i thought you meant the entire housing.
