OMG! I think I'm in love.
This is better than my, "Kill the Dinger" Thread.
And yes, I would put hole in the floor to check the tranny fluid if I wasn't sure that would end up with Mercon V in the carpeting.
Highest praise. Deepest respect.
And $800 I'm not going to pay somebody else to replace the sending unit!
Edit, 30 days later: My gauge was sticking on Empty at start-up about 40% of the time. I added a can of Seafoam and it has registered correctly during my last 15 trips. I consider that to be lucky!
One out of 15 failures in this Ex that I didn't have to take it apart and replace something.
