Since we all love them but can't hang on to them forever, we might have had several explorers. I myself have had three and an endless list of other fords.
Tell your stories, post pics, how many miles, whatever you want :)

'96, 4dr, green, XLT, 5 speed manual, 4x4, OHV
'03, Sport, blue, XLS, 5 speed manual, 4x4, SOHC
Currently
'00, 4dr, green, XLS, 5 speed manual, 4x4, OHV
'03, Sport, blue, XLS, 5 speed manual, 2wd, SOHC

I've had 3 so far, 94/92/91 models, and still have the 94. I'm also making payments to a guy for a fourth first gen, a 91.

The 94 means a lot to me, some of the best memories of my life so far in it. Also gave me something to live for back when I bought it. Goal is to still have it when I'm old and gray.

i guess iv had 2 my 97 limited and my new sport

2 for me, a 95 XLT that i traded in for my 00 XLS with 190k miles, bought it with 70k miles back in august of 2005..

we've had 4 (gf and I)
1 green 95 sport - sold, whereabouts unknown
1 black 97 sport 4x4 - sold, to my dad :D
1 white 02 xls hers
1 blue 02 xlt mine

I've had one explorer, 1 bronco II, and 2 mountaineers

1st one was a 91 explorer xlt, the transmission blew up

Then I got an 88 bronco II with a manual trans, motor blew up while doing donuts.

Then I got my first 2000 mountaineer, it was lost in a rollover but you guys already know that.

Then I got it's replacement another 2000 mountaineer that looks just like the last one

I'm on my first but I want to get something with a V8 and 4x4 next, maybe an Explorer, maybe an Expedition, maybe a Bronco or if I really have the money a diesel Excursion.

Wow.. you guys sure like trading in cars.... doesn't that get expensive?

in any case, i've had 3.

my first one, the '93 which is my DD still.

then
my '91 which is my supercharged project.

and a '94 sport which i had for a few weeks and sold (for a profit)

no... my disease isn't an addiction to getting raped on new cars.. instead i grab onto everything cheap (or free) car/truck that comes my way, fix them up, and sometimes sell, sometimes keep them... i probably spend just as much money now that i think about it.... anyway my current plethora of cars is:

68 mustang
68 IH travelette truck
74 scout II
82 Bronco
88 bronco
90 bronco (for sale)
90 f350
91 explorer
93 explorer
96 ranger
?? jeep Comanche (for sale)

at the moment i only have one, a 94 Eddie Bauer wich i have owned for 4 yrs... but soon to be a nice 08 Eddie Bauer. dont worry all... the new one will never replace the old one, in fact the 94 is up for a big overhaul this summer. redoing the whole thing from interior to all the body work and maybe i might put a newer v8 in it.

99 Sport 2WD
01 XLS 4WD

Lets see:
(1) '86 BroncoII - loved that little thing. One day, it just wouldn't start. I couldn't figure it out, and parked it at the junkyard I was working at. I had always intended to get back to it and fix it. In the meantime, the owner "forgot" that it was mine, and sold most of the glass out of it. In order to get in, they trashed the drivers door (it was locked). It also ended up getting hit by the forklift. It ended up crushed/scrapped

(2) Rangers - One was an older one ("square" body- don't remember the year), that I bought to fix and flip, and the second is a '93 that I just bought recently, again to fix and flip. The older one was a 2.9L, the current one is a 4.0L/MT/4x4/Regular Cab XLT

(3) Explorers (that I remember anyway):

First is my '99 Grey 4dr XLT (SOHC-Auto). Originally I bought this one to also fix up and sell. I ended up with to much into to turn a profit, and I decided to keep it and start modifying. It has an Xcal3 w/ Henson tuning. It's getting a cat-back Gibson, underdrive crank pulley, being lowered, and a few other things.

The other 2 were also fix/flips that I did end up selling, though I did drive one for several months first:

a '97 Blue 4dr XLT, also SOHC/Auto, don't remember the mileage. I didn't have that one very long, it sold quick. It went to someone within about 15 miles.

a '97 "Seafoam Green" 2dr Sport, also SOHC/Auto/4x4. That one had about 160k when I sold it, if I remember right.
I ended up fully rebuilding the rear (-gears) on this one; with the rear in the truck, in my driveway!! That was an interesting experience. I had to jack up the rear so far to be able to do the pinion race, that the FRONT bumper was touching the ground!
I had/drove this one as my daily driver for about 4-5months before I sold it. It went to a lawyer in New York city.
