how many of you are running the TIMING GEAR SET

i am woundering how many pelpol changed there timing chaines with timing gears. i heard the timing gears are more accuret cuz there is no strecthing from the chine . i wanted to get the NOISY TIMING GEAR SET for when my chain gose bad in my 5.oL awd 1997 mounty. just seeing what the feed back is frome others that has done this

I don't think you will get it to clear the timing cover, but I am curious if you figure out a way.

The stock timing set is quite impressive actually. Get a good billet geared, double row roller set and it will be more than you ever need.

i would like to see if any one can or did put a set in they look to be about the same size
 






timing gears WILL NOT work on engines with knock sensors. fyi
 


















just thought it would be a good fyi. im not familiar with the v8 x's
 






I'm looking at doing this.
I found a couple of different sets from Jegs, but i have no idea if they will work.
fyi gears aren't exactly cheap
