Going to drop the trans pan and change the filter. Deep Pan.

How much fluid will I dump and have to replace?

Motorcraft FT134 is for the 4WD deep pan. (FT133 RWD)

Frank- 2003 manual shows 10 quarts TOTAL for RWD, 10.3 quarts 4WD. (Page 186)
Buy 5 quarts of Mercon V just to be safe, return unused sealed containers to store.

Chpsk8- Dropping the pan requires less than half the TOTAL fluid capacity. Aftermarket pan?

thanks hawaii, helpful as always. I had actually just started reading one of those threads when you posted em. Forgot to use the search this time. Will be tackling this filter and oil change this weekend, as well as taking apart my leaf springs and reassembling them to fix my awful squeaks after aal. Gotta coat them up
