how much can they handle?

ok, in a few weeks, i'll be getting a '97-'99 explorer, and i was wondering how much wattage the factory speakers could handle? i'm asking thins because if the explorer i get doesn't come with the premium system, i'm gonn get it upgraded since i love my rock loud and crisp sounding. thanks a bunch.

I couldnt imagin them coming with over 60 watts rms. I would personall just upgrade the system when i got the truck.

yeah mines alright for a stock system, but keep in mind that when you put in a sub basically all the bass is taken away from those stock speakers. leaving them as mid-high range speakers. personally i dont need to upgrade the stock speakers when i have my sub and i can hear em anyway!
