how much lift do i need?

hey i wana lift my explorer but i wana know how much i gotta lift it first.
how much do have to lift for 31"s or 33"s or 35"s with out worrying about rubbing in my wells?

I am a 1998 V8 AWD, basicly all i want is a larger tire size, i dont do any thing hardcore enough to need a suspension lift.

also i have been thinking of swaping my leaf springs so there up on top of my axle. and i know how much my tortion bars lift up my front end. i was not planing on re-gearing.

...is this a good idea?

Welcome to the site, 31s, probably little if any, 33s, 3" body lift, 35s, 3" body lift and possibly lots of trimming or a 4" suspension/5.5 RCD lift.

What are you trying to accomplish? Also do you plan to re-gear?

Us old school "carb" guys cacth things like that.

You can run 32's with a tt and shackles or AAL- I did it for a while
