Yes if its in good shape, 4wd, nothingg wrong with it
No if it torn up, lots of dents, mech probs, 2wd
Lots of stuff can go into this, give more info for better results

Depends on the condition but 2 grand sounds too cheap to me. There must be a catch.

Well it is the neighbors truck and I know the truck. They bought it in 2003 with 55000 miles on it, and they do not drive it much any more. What are some things that I should look for. The paint and interior are in good shap. It was built 06/00.

the SOHC engine is known for losing timing chain tensioners, should be okay with a 01 SOHC engine though
smell the transmission fluid, does it smell burnt? is it red or brown?
Does the 4x4 work?
I sold me 02 Sport trac in great condition with more miles for $4000, $2000 is a HELL OF A DEAL IMO if its in great shape
