How should I correctly set the gain?

I have two AMPs (check Cardomain at bottom). One connected to 2 12" Subs and one connected 4 Kicker 2-way speakers. How should I correctly set the gain on both the AMPs? I really do not hear a sound difference when messing with the gain. This is espeically true with the 4 speakers.

Well the BEST way to set the level on the amplifiers is with a test tone, DMM, and oscilloscope.

But most people do not have access to an oscilloscope so using a DMM will be fine.

Set the amp level for the highs first then the sub amp.
