How tight should the wheel bearings be?

Actually 16 about snugged them up to where they don't wobble. I"m going to do what konstan suggested and check the spindle for heat next time I drive. Any looser and the wheels wobble on the spindle. I have them set to the bare min to keep the wobble out.
