I tried searching and couldnt find anything, is there a way to check codes at home. My intreped tells codes after turning the key on and off serveral times quickly and i figured maybe the explore maybe had a similar way?

Keep in mind that the 95 have a dummy OBDII port under the dash, and a live OBDI/EECIV port under the hood. If you have access to a scanner, you need to use the OBDI under the hood.

Just jumper the harness under the hood and count the flashes of your CE light- done it dozens of times, I even made a short wire with 2 male spade connectors to keep in the glove box to check codes easily if needed... :D

The "jump the harness" deal works well and will give you stored codes. But if you can get a scan tool with the appropriate software, you can access live datastream, KOEO and KOER tests, balance tests, etc. So having access to the correct tool does have an advantage. But to just get the code(s) that are stored, then Joe is dead on.
