OK, I just bought my '98 XLT yesterday. I want to remove the stereo so that I can mount my cell phone's car kit in it. Anyone have instructions posted on the removal procedure? And are there any special tools required?
Im very familiar with doing stuff like this on my Nissan sports cars, but this is my 1st truck so I could use a little help.

Thanks,
Greg

I recently remove my stock stereo and it was a piece of cake. If you don't already have them, go to the nearest auto parts store, or wal-mart or sumthin and pick up the tool to remove the stereo. It si like a 'u' shaped tool that costs next to nuthin. You just put the tool in little holes on the sides of the stereo and push out and towards you and the thing should just pop out. IT might take a little practice.....goog luck
