How to remove rear brake light covers?

I want to paint the covers black how hard are they to remove? And does anyone have a suggestions for painting them? (type of paint for plastic.....) I am also going to paint the grill black as well but I can get that off easy. Any help is greatly appreciated..

like tint the taillights or put a design on them? if you wanna tint them just use a product called niteshades
