How to remove running boards?

Anyone have some help on how to remove the factory running boards on an 06 Explorer?

I removed mine.....they just unbolt.

Thanks, a co-worker drove over a rock and cracked one of mine, so off they come. How did you like the look after they came off?

I like the look...........much cleaner. I like seeing the frame. I couldn't wait to get them off. Being tall, I didn't need them and kept hitting my leg on it getting into the truck.
