Its not rocket science to replace the pump, but im sure this will help someone someday.
*Check your relays! Check your washer lines! I thought I needed a new pump, when it was a small hole in the line that I couldnt see. The 2nd gen relays should be right under the air intake tube in a small box. I believe there are 4 small relays, and 1 large one. The 2 relays closest to the windshield are the front/rear pump relays. (One pump, just spins backwards for the rear)*
*It is a VERY easy task, and should take under 20 minutes*
Needed:
-New washer pump *$28 at AutoZone, only about $5 cheaper on RockAuto
-11mm socket (Ill double check in the morning, it might have been a 10mm)
1. Remove the cruise control module, 1 bolt, unhook the harness and move it out of the way.
(Sorry guys im missing a few pics. Ill resnap them tomorrow)
2. Pull the washer pump out. It literally just pulls out; disconnect the plug on top, and make sure to get the old filter out. I used a flathead to pry mine.
*If you dont know, the pump is on the firewall side of the reservoir, its very small, about the size of a screwdriver handle*
If you have any fluid in the reservoir, it WILL drain out.
3. Now its time to get a pitcher of hot water, and flush the reservoir out. Mine had some random chunks of lord-knows-what in it but after about a gallon of hot water, she looked like new.
Now reverse the process. Simply push the new pump in place, reconnect the plug, remount the cruise module, plug that harness back in, add some fluid, and your all set!
