I have a 96 Limited 4 door w/ a factory JBL AM/FM cassette & remote 6 CD changer. A while back the left channel would cut out when at low volume. Turning the volume up a bit resolved. it.
Now no speakers work except for the subwoofer.
Display works, the button 3/6 test I read about has no sound. I checked the back plus to make sure they're tight.
Before I buy a replacement unit, how can I verify the unit has failed? Is there a test or procedure to try?
I plan on replacing it with a similar unit (maybe a 96 CD vs. cassette), but want to eliminate other possibilities prior to purchase.
Any advice, or how-tos would be helpful.
