First, thanks to all who supplied info on auto to manual hub change. I went with the mile markers and all new front rotors bushings and calipers. So that is done and it came out good.

My pedal however goes to floor. I have brakes but therye not right. I tried to read as many posts before asking, it seems its either my Master cyl or my Rabs, or even the sensors on the rear axle.

My question is is there a way to check these parts to see if there working? New ones are pretty exspensive.

Dont want to take chances with brakes.

There was low pedal pressure a while back, saw that a rear brake line was leaking. Took to brake place to fix, and said after he replaced line couldnt get the rears to bleed. He also said front pads were shot. Replaced pads.

They said all kinds of senarios, but said I should drive it around for a few weeks , maybe there was a clog in the rest of the line, or prop valve.

Well I gave my son my car to use and pretty much parked the EX, until i could look at it myself. Noticed rotors were bad, thats when I bought the car from my son, and decided to try and get this thing right, Ive owned since new and passed it thru kids, now id like to restore it mechanically and keep it for me.

But Im stuck here on the brakes. Can anybody help me out?

Rabs....do you mean rear ABS?? Or RABs.....Radius Arm Bushings??

Had me thinking there for a moment......LOL

Now, back to your brakes..........I can't imagine a brake shop or mechanic that wouldn't have a clue to give you about the condition of your brakes after doing the inspection and replacements that you said you have done.

And......
he replaced line couldnt get the rears to bleed.

IMHO..........Don't go back to that shop.

OK.....so, enough about that.

Brake pedal goes down to the floor.....DON'T DRIVE IT.

Try to bleed the system again (IF, you got air in the ABS system, you will need special equipment). And/or look for a leak (lines, brake cyl or caliper pistons)........and/or, look at replacement of the master cyl.......after you got that fixed.

Then, comes the problems of ABS and their questionable condition.

Thanks for reply. Before i went crazy went thru basics first.

Bled brakes , this time with 2 people instead of gravity bleed.

Then adjusted the rears so theres slight drag.

Well, that seemed to do the trick. Firm pedal, does not go to floor.

I think thats one problem solved.

Great...on to the next problem.

Aloha, Mark
