I've got a 95 Exploder that I've been working on. Practicing? Ha. I started wanting to learn more about cars in senior year of high school, but have never gotten any official training. Worked in an oil change shop for a year and as a general maintenance tech for 5, where I do alllll sorts of stuff which includes some mechanicing.
I had several bad run-ins with neighborhood mechanics that led me to just trying to do all my work myself. It's been a painful long road. Especially with no garage to work in.
But here I am. I've found my way to dozens of threads on this forum over the past year or two working on my wife's truck. I'm sure I'll be here quite a bit longer, too, judging on how much she loves the thing.
