Hi all I am hoping for some help for my 2003 XLT, my local Ford Stealership will not see just the hub bearing bolts without the hub itself, I have purchased Timkin bearings to replace the the ford units. the original stock ones went bad at 37000 and the ford relacement are going now at 81000 . Does anyone know the bolts size or where replacements can be purchased. Thanks in advance for your help

The design of these hubs is poor to begin with, from an Engineering standpoint, in that the two bearings are spaced very close together. In the old days, front wheel bearings, especially on 4X4 spindles, were wide-set, making a much stronger design.

Offsetting the load (weight of the vehicle) by having wheels not made specifically for the vehicle, places much greater stress on the bearings, making early failure more likely. imp
