If anyone could give me some tips i need the help, im trying to replace the factory automatic hubs with mannual locking hubs to try and save some gas and gain some reliability because the automatic hubs are dragging my front CV axels, differencial, and driveshaft and it dosent make any sense why its dooing that and if i put in manual hubs it should quit i just had alot of people say you cant do it on a truck with cv axels. so if any knows anything about this or has done a conversion i would really appreciate this.

You don't have automatic hubs - you have a live axle. In other words, the axle is attached directly to the hub.

You will need to change the axle shafts and hub (wheel) bearings. Get the parts for a 1998 Ranger. Then, you can install a set of AVM hubs.

I am going to do this conversion to my '06 - I still need to get the hub bearings (about $250.00 a side.) When I do, I will do a writeup.
