first off, get your mind out of the gutter 
i've heard a strange sound coming from the front area of my '01 sport with the SOHC lately... can't quite figure out what it is... it only happens once in a while, and when it happens - it stops after maybe 10 seconds or so...
at first i thought it sounded like a pump that was trying to pump fluid from an empty resorvoir (coolant?) but all fluids seem to be fine.
any ideas?
