Hunting trip this weekend

Just wanted to share some pics of my hunting from this weekend. I was out on Friday and shot a mule deer doe. It was above freezing and muddy. For the first day of whitetail hunting on Monday we woke up to a Blizzard!

In these I was temporarily stuck. I was on the cell, trying to turn on wipers, and shift gears! My buddy towed me out backwards.

Once I was loose I got motivated! 4Lo, phone off and wipers on! I plowed right through, you can see all the snow on the hood that rolled up over the top as I was pushing!

Some friends that did not see the slough. It took a 4WD farm tractor to get them out!

Finally Success! Just a little buck but two deer makes more than enough sausage! All in all it was great weekend!

Very nice...I was not successful on my deer hunt this year. Looks like there was no risk of the meat going bad before you got it home, huh?

I did have a set of AAL's installed. Other than that all was stock. I have a set of home made shackles to put in and the F-150 spaces sitting on the shelf. I'll have them installed for next year!

You can shoot does? I thought you could only shoot bucks with so many points???

It all depends on where you are. Most places there is limited doe and any buck. Around here there's specific "Doe Days" or you can buy Doe tags.

Nice buck, i wish you could shoot does here. Last year i saw about 300 does over the week i was hunting! Sad part is we didnt see a single buck!

We have two types of deer here, mule deer and whitetail deer. For mule deer you have enter the draw. You can get drawn for an either sex tag or just a doe tag. I put in for both and only got drawn for the doe. For whitetail you buy a tag over the counter and once again you could shoot a doe or buck. We have so many deer here they also have deprivation zones. You can basically get unlimited tags for does!
