I went away this weekend and have to report that my Thermostate is sticky and may be dying- the temp was fairly cold all the way there and back, heater worked fine, nice and hot but guage did not move past quarter at all......Another job for the weekend eh,I still have not got the rear tensioner or the resister pack for the heater panel as it only works on 3 and four positions!
Oh well, guess I will spend the first dry day on her- again.

H, you seem to be accumulating problems:thumbdwn:. Your stat seems to be not closing fully, which is better than what I had a few weeks back when mine stuck closed. Great for the first mile or two, then a massive boil up pushing most of the cooling water out of the system through the expansion tank. I'd change it ASAP if you can in case it sticks closed. Number on my invoice is F4356545 which I assume is the Ford part number. Mine was 15 quid including VAT. One good thing, it is a simple job to do.

Yeah these things sneak up on you eh? Thanks for the part number mate. I know the thermo is easy- did Martis when I flushed his system. Think I will flush mine too as i have some Blue green stuff in the header tank and I really dont know what concentration it is!
I have to get the timing tensioner for the rear also- ho hum, life with and Ex!
