*slobber*

Have you guys seen these cars? Other than the front of the car (airdam) where the fog lights are, this car is pimp tight! They are cheap too....around $19,000 fully loaded with a V6. I am almost thinking of trading off the X for one if I could find one for the right price. Just because the payments would be about the same as the X or LESS and I will save $$ on gas.

To sum it up real quick for everyone. The 2.0L 4 cylinder engine is 140HP <-almost the power of the SOHC 4.0 Ford motor........ and get this.......the 2.7L V6 pumps out 185HP. There are a few choices for transmissions (Auto, 5 Speed Man. and 6 Speed Man.)

I think if I can find one of these in the right price range, I will say bye bye to the X, I don't want to get rid of it but if I can find something to save me money I'm all for it. Here is a picture.....

UH...............not quite.:)

We spoke briefly about KIAs and Hydundais in the chat room last night. For a PRACTICAL driver, they seem like great choices. 10 year warranties, close to nothing financing, high MPG are great benefits. I wouldn't trade an Explorer in on one or anything, but for a DD with longer commutes, they are nice.

Plus your SOHC puts out 210 or 215, much more than both of those engine options. And a Tiburon is a chick car!:p :)

Would this be for you or your girlfriend?

:D

Please explain to me how 140hp is close to the sohc V6's 205-210:rolleyes: , thats about 70hp short lol and should we even mention the torque figures comapred to either engine? No to mention the sohc V6 makes more torque off idle then either engine makes at it's peak:p Go drive the V6 and floor it, you won't be impressed at all, I guarentee that. Not worth it IMO, 1st thing, the V6 Tiburon even with the 6 speed will be seeing the taillights of an sohc Sport Explorer in a race. Gas mileage isn't even that good for small V6 coupe. Not to mention the sound of the 2.7, bleeechhhh. The car doesn't even handle that well, feels like a boat compared to everything else in it's class.

If you looking for an awsome sleeper, go find a used Nissan Maxima SE with the 255hp VQ engine and close ratio 6 speed, that is one awsome engine. You'll have a car that rides better, gets better gas mileage, handles better then a lot of "sports" cars, and an engine that pulls hard as hell and sounds awsome in doing so. The VQ is an awsome engine. Should be around the same price barely used compared to a new Tiburon, and it outclasses the Tiburon in every aspect from quality to performance. A lot of people don't realize how fast the Maxima is and that would be one heck of a sleeper, 0-60 in about 6 seconds flat and the 1/4 in the mid to high 14's, all with better handling, interior, suspension, gas mileage, and performance that the Tibi can only dream about;)

You can even find a used 01' GT or used LS1 F-body for cheaper and both get about the same mileage as the Tibi (LS1 will embaress it in gas mileage) and we won't even bring up performance lol. Mmmmm sound of a modular V8 vs farty sound of the 2.7, hehe.

:thumbdwn:

I bet your insurance will go through the roof on a brand new V6 sports car such as this too, compared to the X. If your looking to save money, this doesnt seem to be the way to go. I dont now much about the news ones, but Ive smoked several of the older Tiburons from stoplights.

I think the problem is that they break, they are korean cars. They don't last too long.

I knew there was a reason for 10 years, 100,000 mile warranty. :D

75% of the buyers for that car are 17-25 year old females. And they probably buy its because 'its cute'

Do what you want MO, we would just never talk to you again ;)

Ya know, I hear people say the same thing all the time. But why in the hell would a company selling junk cars give you a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty???

I just dont understand!!

If their cars are indeed junk and break down, they would be in financial disastor for paying up on all the junk cars coming in the garage...

Maybe it is just the fact that the ones my friends have had always had problems. They were always getting fixed, even worse then my car!

Also those companies just steal all other design from other companies. They don't really have any original design.

And the problem with KIA's and HYUNDAY's it's their resale value, a Friend of mine has a 2000 Accent and right now I think their around $2500.00 and he bought it new.

Hey mo guy if you are really looking for a small little zippy car get the dodge srt-4. The price is about 20k and it has a 215 hp (way under rated) 2.4l 4cyl. Also includes dodge viper racing seats, car weighs about 2500 lbs. I am actually going down to the dealership next week to order an 04. In 04 they added a limited slip differential and a sun room for about $1500.00 more.

Btw guys are running 14.0's bone stock with slicks up front.

the Tiburon's are 185 HP for about 17-19k fully loaded, and a hell of a lot nicer looking especially a silver or red one with very dark tinted windows :) even has factory dual exhaust, and optional 5 speed or 6 speed tranny's :) i dont really think i will get a new vehicle but i did just get a new job which is about 30-45 minutes away so i will have to at least THINK of finding something different for commuting back and forth to work, that gas is going to eat a hole in my pockets
