tap into the parking lights and run a relay.....

Don't do what I did and just keep adding stuff to the battery.

The best thing to do is run a lead off the battery to a multiple circuit distribution block with fuses for each circuit; then go to the different relays.

If you run your main lighting power off anything else than (almost) direct battery power you risk damage to factory wiring and components, and sub-optimal output of the lights. However, main power is different than the switch power. The switch power can be tapped from almost anything, depending on what control you want to have on the lights.

well, I want to run a switch thats included with the lights, and it comes with a relay..

so where do you think I should get the power from?

Main power from the battery or a high load capable circuit (30 amp and not used very much). Switch power from any 12V source.

When do you want your lights to be able to be switched on?
Anytime? With high beams, low beams, parking lights?

The power for your lights comes directly from the battery. The power for your switch is what determins when you can switch on your lights.

i ran the main power to the battery and the second power that is supposed to go to the highbeam wire(spliced in). I took it into the fuse box ( hazard fuse to be exact) i can turn my lights on and off even when the truck if off.

well I dont wanna be ghetto, and just run a wire off the battery to the switch, I wanna be able to turn the lights on at any point, even when the car is off..so can I just run a wire from the fuse box to the switch, the a wire from the switch to the relay, then relay to the lights..but the switch that I got with the lights, has three prongs on the back of it?

On the switch three prongs one goes to ground, one to the relay and the other to your source of power for the switch. If you want them on anytime then do like kontinu1 and go to the flasher fuse.

On the diagram the flashers fuse takes the place of the "high / low beam ignition" wire position.
Is this the way you will have it wired?
