My 90 ranger has 145k on it and the trans started to leak from around the front, bell housing, or its coming down a line I dont know exactly where yet..... but I felt a difference in the transmission while driving thats the real reason I was concerned and found the leak, I cant really describe how its performing differently while driving but if anyone has any similar experience please let me know. I've read about low coolant can blow your seals and how the bellhousing might need to be replaced but thats as far as my research has gone. thanks

I'm new and I found this forum many many times before when trying to diagnose and solve other problems on my Ranger like vacuum modulator failure and power steering leak.

will any other transmissions fit in this truck, 90 ranger 2.9 V-6?? Standard cab Longbed

welcome

Welcome to this forum! You might need a new front seal with a new front bushing machined in place. I'm only aware of 2 shops in the USA that perform this kind of service. It's not necessary to junk an entire bell housing when the bushing could be replaced.
