hey to all

I am new to the site, as we have been having problems with our 2003 explorer. I appreciate all the information available on these sites, and will update with what i learn. I have been a member on corral for a number of years for my mustang.

i have a problem with a power window on the front passenger side. so far i have eliminated the swith on the passenger side. I swapped it for the rear passenger and both switches work on the rear window but neither would work on the front.

i cannot control the window from the drivers side or passenger side. my best guess is that either the drivers side switch is bad, or a wiring problem.

any help would be greatly appreciated. when i get this one fixed i will move on to the second and most difficult problem. the motor control for the heat and air is out. i have had to manually switch the door. pain.

thanks for any help.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed, and moved your thread to the stock 2002-2005 section. Did you check the wiring going into the door, and the bulkhead connector? The wiring sometimes cracks between the frame, and the door.

wiring problem, very common to find cracked or frayed wires in the rubber boot in the door jamb. Might want to check the passenger side too.

my 04 has a window that wont work... sometimes....
Dealer says its the motor... their test? Pound on the door panel! if it works your motor is the problem.

my extended warranty would not cover it as when they went to inspect the window was working (cause ford pounded on the door panel)

I never paid to get it fixed and it has worked on and off since.
I found that if I leave the window down 1/16 of an inch, its still up in the channel and does not leak, but it works every time.

Im hoping it stops soon so I can have it fixed the same time as my Rad

fixed

Hey, Sorry about the post being in the wrong place, i must have missed it. I Checked the wires in the driver's side door, and the power wire going to the other side was broken completly. I have never see a wire broken like that one. it was like the wire was way short to begin with and over time it just gave. I spliced it and all it working now.

thanks for the info

take care

next have to tackle the blend door. hopefully it is just the actuator.

Great to hear it. Thanks for letting us know!
