Yea I'm pretty sure everyone said it was impossible. When then, I have done the impossible! :) haha. I can now at the touch of the button, roll any window up or down! It's awesome! It wasn't too hard either. And it was pretty cheap mod... Just followed this how-to right here: (Its actually a how-to for a Ranger, but it worked ;) )

The link is dead. I found a write up for the auto up/down last week and was thinking about doing it too. Is that the same guy who added the keyless entry keypad and a bunch of other stuff to his Ranger? He had some nice projects and write-ups on that site. I'll try to find it again when I get home from work.

Yep that's the same one I saw. Glad to see it works well on the Explorers too.

I saw a Ranger on the RPS forums that had that on both of his windows, and LED's in place of the door lock top buttons.

Did your Explorer need four of those modules, or eight in total? Good finds,

Yea sorry that the link didnt work. Didnt realize it. I was glad that it worked on explorers on well. I only needed three of those modules because I only have 2 windows. I needed one for the drivers side auto up (since I already had auto down on drivers side) and needed the other two for auto up and down on the passenger side. Now if you wanted to do this and you had a four-door, you would need 7 modules. It was actually very simple except for squeezing two modules in the passenger side. haha. They all work great except for the passenger up, you have to do it rather quick. Its always been a problem but you get used to it.

I had noticed the modules on the backside of Explorer Limited's for years. I found one today in a 1st gen. Sport. I am not sure that it is the same, but it looks and mounts the same.

What is a good fair price for a Taurus window module? Regards,

I would say since you dont have to include shippping in your price, probably no more than $10.

Has anyone done this mod yet on an Explorer? I am very interested in this for the front windows only.

Does anyone have a Ford part number for the components?

Thanks for posting this.

.......guy in the first post has and 01 explorer sport.....I think that's an explorer, I'm not sure though.

has anyone looked into the back windows rolling all the way down?

Wont' happen, the shape of the door won't let it.

Search for a write up on the RPS forum. I know I saw one somewhere, it may have been that Ranger site. Regards,

I want voice activated windows.

" Drivers window all the way down. Passenger window half way down "

Wouldnt that be cool ?

I wonder if the reason the auto up works tricky on the passenger side is because of the module install.....maybe if it was wired same as the drivers side it would work better.
