OK, here is a tricky one. The heater comes on at start up , but when you shut down and restart, it doesn't come on till its damn good and ready. i.e. if you go to the store, the heater (fan?) doesn't come on when you come out of the store. It does come on eventually, but you can freeze your buns waiting. Any ideas?

I've moved your post into its own thread. So are you saying that the heater core isn't getting hot or that your blower motor doesn't always work consistently? Could you put your vehicle, and location into your profile?

Apparently it's the blower motor, thanks for the "inconsistently". I updated my profile. I guess when I have a new problem, I should start a new thread. Thanks, I will catch on eventually. The heater works GREAT when it works.

Add the word Aerostar into your profile since most people have Explorers on this forum. Did you replace the blower motor? Sometimes it could be a bad connection on the blower motor plug or the speed control resistor.
