ok.. i have a 96 xlt.. i took the system i had in my mustang and tried to install it today. Got the HU hooked up and works fine. Connected the RCAs and the remote wire.. power cable to the battery, speakers to the amp, and grounded it on a bolt behind the seats. Nothin happening.. I tried new RCAs and a new remote wire cuz mine were lookin shot.. and still nothin. Am I missing something? Do I have to bypass anything? Thanks for your help.. I'm starting to get a lil frustrated.

Check your ground wire, if you have 12 volts goin into the amp and a good ground, it should work...check your fuses too...

where do u recommend grounding the wire? Also, i switched the fuse and still nothing

Does the amp even power up? If not best thing to do would be to just check the amp out (not permanent) just take that biatch right next to the battery and hook the ground to battery ground and then the remote and power right to the positive on the battery if it does;nt come on (check fuse in amp and on your battery cord) then you know its the amp if it does you know its something else.
